Holistic View

A holistic view means looking at the big picture and considering all aspects of a user's experience, including their environment, goals, motivations, and emotions. It is an essential approach that helps designers to create products and services that meet the needs of users in a more meaningful and impactful way.

Customer Journey Mapping and Ecosystem Maps visualize a user’s process for accomplishing a goal. They provide a holistic view of the customer experience, highlighting both positive and negative moments from the user’s point of view. Leading a journey-mapping initiative is no small challenge. It takes product knowledge, research savvy, and project and stakeholder management skills.

Designers must research and gather data from various sources to take a holistic view. This can include user surveys, interviews, observations, and data on user behavior and usage patterns. By analyzing this data and understanding the user’s needs and preferences, designers can create a more user-centered design that considers the entire user experience.
